Pasco Sheriff's detectives are investigating a fatal shooting at a barbeque stand in Zephyrhills on Thursday.
The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. at Jordan's Barbeque on Eiland Boulevard. Investigators said an unknown Hispanic male approached the owners of the business and demanded money.
Witnesses said the man had a 6-8 inch sharp object in his pocket.
Believing they were being robbed, one of the business owners shot the man. He later died at a local hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
