An investigation is underway after a fire at recycling facility in Tampa early Sunday, according to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.

Firefighters received a call about a fire at Trademark Metals Recycling on Port Sutton Road at 12:40 a.m.

When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke and fire coming from a pile of recyclable metals, according to the report. The pile was about 15 feet high, authorities said. The Hazardous Materials Team Unit also responded to the scene in case hazardous materials were in the pile.

The fire was put out in about an hour, firefighters said.  A section of US-41 was closed while firefighters battled the fire.

No injuries have been reported, according to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.
