Universal Parks & Resorts has revealed who will fill the newly-created role of vice chairman. Mark Woodbury, president of Universal Creative, has been named to the position, Universal announced Friday.

According to the news release, Woodbury will continue as his role at Universal Creative and report to Tom Williams, Chairman and CEO of Universal Parks & Resorts.

“Mark has been a driving force for creativity, innovation, growth and development across the entire Parks group,” Williams said. “As we continue our incredible journey, I am happy that Mark will be by my side, playing a vital role in shaping our future and leading the greatest creative team in the world.”

Woodbury has been with the company for 28 years. In that time, he has lead a team of designers, engineers, artists, and architects on projects such as Universal’s Islands of Adventure and attractions at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
