Shannon Collingsworth of New Smyrna Beach caught video of the crocodile, named Cleatus, being pulled from the water.

Park staff said the crocodile was getting too friendly with food-bearing visitors.

According to the Miami Herald, officials were puzzled when Cleatus first appeared at the park, about 70 miles west of Key West.

The crocodile was pulled from the water Sunday and released in Everglades National Park on Monday.
