A pedestrian was seriously injured early Saturday morning in a hit and run in Tampa.

The crash occurred in the westbound lanes of W. Hillsborough Avenue.
The victim, an adult male, is being treated for life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police have closed the westbound lanes from N. Hesperides Avenue to N. Lois Avenue. The eastbound lanes of Hillsborough Ave. are still open to traffic.
Police said the suspect vehicle is described as a dark, low-riding sedan with front-end collision damage.
