- Beachgoers, firefighters helped push manatees back into water
Fire Station 46 responded and, with help from others, moved the manatees back into the water in front of the Palm Pavilion.
Officials think the manatees may have been pushed ashore because of high winds and waves.
"A great job was done by all — firefighters and members of the public who teamed up to return the manatees to the waters of the Gulf of Mexico," the Clearwater Fire and Rescue Department said in a Facebook post.
