This is one of the rare chances the public gets to come onto MacDill Air Force Base and get up close and personal with the Navy's Blue Angels.

The event will showcase extreme aviation capabilities. There are also free tours and dozens of demonstrations like parachute jumps from the Navy leapfrogs, the Air Force's F-22 and A-10 demonstration teams, and of course, the Blue Angels performance--which starts at 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Gates open at 8 a.m. and opening ceremonies start at 11 a.m.

Entry into the airfest is free and so is parking.
