HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla.-- Qualified Residential County Utilities Department customers could get a water bill credit.
The high-efficiency washer rebate pilot program is underway and qualified customers could get a $100 credit.
To be qualified, customers must have a new Energy Star labeled washer and must fill out paperwork online.
The County says to visit their website and follow these steps to participate:
- Agree to the terms and conditions of this program by clicking the 'I Agree' button at the bottom of the page
- Submit for and receive via email the required authorization code, program policy, rebate application and list of Energy Star-labeled high-efficiency washers
- Review list of qualified washers and make your purchase
- Complete and submit the rebate application with the original receipt for the Energy Star-labeled, high-efficiency clothes washer to receive a $100 water bill credit
Then, submit the rebate application and original receipt via mail or drop off to:

Rebates are limited and will be given to participants with an authorization code on a first-come, first-served basis.
Qualified Energy Star-labeled, high-efficiency clothes washers must have been purchased between July 23 and Sept 20. Term and conditions apply.
