CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. -- A Brooksville woman died Sunday after she was found unresponsive in the waters near Drum Key, according to the Citrus County Sheriff's Office.

Ronda Mullin, 66, was on a scalloping trip with her son and several other people, according deputies. Their boat left from Bayport in Hernando County.

According to deputies, Mullin was found face-down and unresponsive 30 minutes after she entered the water.

Mullin's son performed CPR before emergency responders arrived, but she was later declared dead.

Deputies said Mullin had heath issues and the incident does not appear to be suspicious.

The exact cause of her death has not yet been determined.
