BROOKSVILLE, Fla. -- The Hernando County Department of Public Works has closed a portion of WPA Road due to flooding. 

The road is closed about 100 feet south of the Mondon Hill/WPA intersection. 

Officials say more than a foot of water is crossing the road. A message board has been put in place to warn motorists. 

Other road closures in Brooksville include: 

  • Sudan Drive and Meridian Street in Ridge Manor near the Withlacoochee River
  • Rackley Road, approximately .1 mile north of the Rackley and Saturn Road intersection

Officials will send out a notice when the roads re-open.
