DUNEDIN, Fla. -- A Pinellas County Sheriff's Office corporal was fired following a DUI arrest on Saturday.

James R. Miller, 50 was arrested and charged with one count of driving under the influence.
Miller, who worked in the Patrol Operations Bureau, was a 16-year veteran on the force.
Deputies responded to a crash early Saturday in the 1200 block of Bayshore Boulevard in Dunedin. When they arrived at the scene, they found a vehicle that had crashed into a telephone pole and a tree.
Inside the vehicle, deputies found Miller with bloodshot eyes and slurred speech.
Miller agreed to field sobriety tests, but "performed poorly", deputies said. He had a blood alcohol level of .124/.121, according to a news release.
Miller was then taken to the Pinellas County Jail without incident.
