SEMINOLE, Fla. -- A house in Seminole caught fire Wednesday afternoon from a lightning strike, according to the homeowner. 

The fire was reported just before 4 p.m. at a home at 9351 120th Lane North in Seminole. 

The homeowner reported lightning struck a tree in the yard, then traveled through underground wires and caused a fire in the attic. 

A woman and two children in the home were able to escape safely. 

Fire officials say the fire was quickly contained and the home suffered minimal damage.
