PALM HARBOR, Fla. — Crews are making progress in the repair of a water main break on Glen Eagles Parkway between Belcher Road and U.S. 19.

Officials said the roadway may be open sometime early Friday afternoon.

Pinellas County Utilities crews responded to the scene Thursday night. A new pipe was put in place early Friday and crews have spent the rest of the morning working on closing the massive hole.

Traffic on Glen Eagles Parkway is being rerouted, and school and work traffic has been impacted.

No boil water notice is in place at this time.

Drivers are advised to use Innisbrook Drive as an alternative.
