BAY AREA — It was a busy morning on Bay area roads that included two fatal crashes.

Traffic situations kept responders busy from Clearwater to Plant City to Dade City.

Friday started with an early-morning fatal motorcycle crash on the Courtney Campbell Causeway. The crash happened at 3:30 a.m. when a motorcyclist struck the back of a car in the westbound lanes on the Pinellas side of the causeway.

That kept westbound lanes of the causeway closed until around 7:30 a.m.

In Dade City, one person died in a fiery crash that closed the intersection of Old Lakeland Highway at Clinton Avenue.

Meanwhile, in Plant City, a semi overturned after colliding with a school bus. There were two minor injuries on the bus in that crash that closed State Road 60 at Horton Road.

Also, a rollover crash closed southbound US 19 at Ulmerton for a while Friday morning.

And an issue with the traffic signals on US 19 in Pasco County had signals flashing for a while on 19 from State Road 54 to Alt US 19 in Holiday and New Port Richey.
