TAMPA, Fla. — Beginning Monday, changes are coming to the Downtowner Shuttle Service in Tampa.

The free ride shuttle program is expanding into Tampa Heights with two hubs in the area — one near Armature Works and another near Franklin Street.

Officials say this will help with the area's growth.

"The purpose of that is to really cut down on the wait times in anticipation of our growing districts," Kelsey Van Camp said.

The ride-share service also has two Tesla X SUVs which are on loan from Hart.

Service hours are from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on the weekends.
