ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A missing St. Petersburg mother and her one-year-old son have been found after they were reported missing on Thursday, according to St. Petersburg Police.

  • Sydney Wyatt, 28, and Future Johnson, 1, both safe
  • Pair reported missing Thursday after car found abandoned

Police say they were found in a local hotel and are both safe. 

Sydney Wyatt, 28, and her son, Future Johnson, were reported missing after the car they were borrowing was found abandoned in Pinellas Park around 4 a.m. on Thursday. Police said the car seat and baby items were still inside the car. 

The two were last seen around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday when Wyatt borrowed the car from her grandmother, who they were staying with. 

The Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement issued a Florida Missing Child Alert for Johnson Thursday night. 

Officials said thanks to many tips, detectives were able to find Wyatt and Johnson. 

No other information has been released in the case. The investigation remains ongoing.
