BRADENTON, Fla. — Four teens were arrested and charged after leading deputies on a chase involving a stolen vehicle.

Officials said a deputy first spotted a suspicious vehicle parked on 17th Avenue with a male sitting in the driver's seat as the deputy drove by. 

When the deputy turned around to investigate, four more males entered the vehicle before it sped off. 

The vehicle, a Mercury Mountaineer, which deputies learned was stolen from an address in Bradenton, led deputies on a chase before crashing into a power pole at 11th Street West and 11th Ave. West.

After the crash, officials said the driver and one of the passengers fled the scene. Two of the other passengers were detained on scene and the third was pronounced dead. 

Officials said the passenger that fled was caught and detained. The driver of the stolen vehicle showed up at Manatee Memorial Hospital with family members and was detained. 

All four suspects have been charged with burglary and grand theft.
