Paul Rosen and his wife call this massive mineral spring their back yard.

Recently buying property just a few miles away, they make it a point to get to the springs daily.

“We love coming here. Being right around the corner is literally amazing," Paul said.

Both battle disease that result in chronic pain, but thanks to the abundance of minerals in the spring, they say it makes all the difference.

“Every time she comes down here she feels like a new person. Every single time it’s just tremendous," Paul said.

While it’s not scientifically proven these minerals have healing qualities, the locals who live and vacation here swear by it, and the near constant temperature of the water, 87 degrees, doesn’t hurt either.

“Five years now that we’ve lived here, and we come every single day. We love the water and also just socializing with new people," said Monika Vulinovic, a frequent visitor.

It even has plenty of history behind it. Archeologists and divers have found remnants of Native American history at the bottom of the springs that date back some 10,000 years.

These finds have now secured it a spot on the US register of historic places, just one of the reasons people all across the world travel to see it.

With about 51 different minerals recorded in the spring, it makes it the largest mineral spring in all of North America.

It’s something locals say you just have to see for yourself — you never know what type of healing rejuvenation the springs may have for you.

“You have to try it at least one time. If you don’t think it’s good, I’ll pay for your trip! That’s how much I believe it in," Rosen said.

The Warm Mineral Springs are open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Its $20 per person to swim in the springs. In addition, if you call ahead they do offer other spa services.
