PASCO COUNTY, Fla. -- A New Port Richey neighborhood is in cleanup mode after an EF-1 tornado came through the area.

  • Tornado damages home in New Port Richey
  • Neighbors came together to help with cleanup
  • Storm also downed trees and power lines

The tornado came through at about 9 a.m., causing fallen trees and downed power lines.

The storm ripped off the roof of one house, which took the brunt of the storm.

Once the storm had passed, neighbors were quick to help the family clean up the damage that was left behind.

Lisa Manaseri, the homeowner, says she's beyond grateful.

"We've been offered help," Manaseri said. "We've been offered help. I mean look at these guys. They're out here cutting wood, from a six-year-old to people who shouldn't be lifting wood."

Manaseri says the Red Cross has offered assistance and a local McDonald's stopped by and dropped off food for everyone.

No injuries were reported.
