ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The morning won’t be quite as cold for Thursday morning, but still on the cool side with lows in the 40s and 50s.

  • Turning milder, breezy
  • Rain Friday
  • Another front Saturday

High clouds have increased from the west and will be with us into Thursday, so expect partly to mostly cloudy skies into the morning.

Thursday will see mostly cloudy to partly sunny skies. It will still end up being a milder day due to a shift in the winds.

Highs will get back to the low 70s. There will be a few showers that pass through the region, but not many.

Thursday night will be mostly cloudy with a chance of an isolated shower. Lows will be in the 60s.

Friday will be the day the next round of showers and storms move in from the Gulf of Mexico. As of right now it looks like there will be a batch of showers possible in the morning, followed by a more significant batch of thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Highs will be warmer, in the mid to upper 70s due to a breezy wind from the south.

The showers and storms will exit Friday evening, with lows not dropping much, mainly into the 60s.

There will be lingering clouds into Saturday with a few showers and sprinkles coming off the gulf due to a breezy northwest wind. Highs will be near 70 Saturday.

After that, cooler, drier air will start moving in Saturday night, with lows in the 50s and 40s.

Sunday will be cooler, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the 60s.

Monday through Wednesday looks seasonably cool, but not as cold as this latest front. Highs will be in the 60s each day with lows at night in the 40s and 50s.
