ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Eight people were injured in a crash on State Road 429 in Orange County on Saturday, according to Orange County Fire Rescue.

The crash happened shortly before 5:45 p.m. in the southbound lanes of SR-429, near Plant Street.

One vehicle was completely engulfed in flames when first responders arrived. 

Fire rescue officials said two people taken to a hospital with traumatic injuries, one was taken with serious injuries and five people suffered minor injuries.

The southbound lanes were closed.
