TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa police continue to investigate the overnight shooting of a 3-year-old boy.

According to officials, the boy is recovering at Tampa General Hospital after being accidentally shot Monday evening at an apartment complex in the 5200 block of Picador Court.
Police have not said how the shooting unfolded.
Officers did say as many as three adults were inside the apartment when shots were fired at the Courtyards on the River Apartment around 10 p.m.
Police have talked with two of the people who were in the apartment.
So far, no charges have been filed. However, police are still planning to talk to the third person involved.
The extent of the child's injuries have not been disclosed. The child did have emergency surgery overnight and continues to recover.
The shooting remains under investigation.
