TAMPA, Fla. — A 36-year-old Thonotosassa man was killed early Friday in a motorcycle crash in Tampa.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Tommy Lee Hill during a collision with a vehicle on US 92 at Falkenburg Road. Hill died at the scene.
Troopers said Hill was speeding while traveling eastbound on US 92 just after 6 a.m. According to the accident report, Hill was attempting to overtake vehicles on his Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle when he collided nearly head-on with a Chevrolet sedan.
Hill was ejected from the motorcycle and he died at the scene.
The driver of the Chevy, a 40-year-old man from Lakeland, was not injured.
The roadway remained closed until just before noon.
