SPRING HILL, Fla. — In one classroom at Spring Hill Elementary School, teacher Laura Williams is making sure all 15 of her pre-k students, some with learning difficulties, get the attention they need with engaging lesson plans.

She says it keeps the kids focused, and makes it more fun if the lessons involve a lot of movement with the hands.

“We do a lot of dancing," she explained. "It gets the whole brain, makes the whole brain work instead of just part.”

Her planning also includes individual schedules for each child, with distinct visual cues.

Her co-workers say William's strength and patience is what makes her amazing.

“She’s a mom herself, and a lot of it has to do with how do you want your own kids to be treated,” says Principal Michael Maine.

“I love them so," Williams said. "They can't wear me out!"
