ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Tonight will be mostly clear with low temperatures in the low 50s to low 60s.

Skies will be mostly clear overnight into early Thursday morning.

Lows won’t be as cool, stopping in the upper 50s to low 60s for most areas, but in the mid 50s for Citrus, Hernando, and Pasco counties.

Winds will be breezy from the east, with gusty conditions in the Gulf of Mexico into the morning.

After the breezy start, winds will die down through the day.

Atmospheric moisture will increase leading to partly cloudy skies and a few late day showers. The best coverage will tend to be south of Pasco County.

High temperatures will be in the low 80s.

A few showers will linger into Thursday evening but then clear overnight. Lows will be in the 60s.

Friday will be partly sunny, with highs in the low to mid 80s. There will be enough moisture to trigger a 30 percent coverage of scattered showers that day also.

This weekend will be much warmer, and likely the warmest most places have been this year so far. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s away from the water.

The coolest spots will be at area beaches due to the water temperature still in the low to mid 70s.

Skies will feature a mix of sun and clouds both weekend days.

There will be just enough atmospheric moisture to produce a 20 percent chance of an afternoon shower or storm both days.
