Family sad to lose them both

Anna Wittman's family members told us they said their final good-byes, and while there is some anger, mostly they're just sad to lose both their sister and the brother-in-law accused of killing her.

"[Anna] was the rock of our family and she was my heart," said sister Sheri Doubrley, fighting back tears. "She would give you the shirt off of her back and then go to the store and help you buy a whole outfit."

When speaking about her sister's accused killer, Doubrley said she had mixed emotions.

"I love him. He’s like a brother to me. He raised me, he helped raise me," she explained. "You know, of course I’m angry. I’m angry, I’m hurt and I’m confused, just like all of us are. But in the end I know he loved her and he loved all of us."

Anna's mother, Fay Robertson, said she was also struggling with what had happened.

"It's killing me," she said. "It's really killing me. She was my baby. My first born."

"We have a huge family, so we'll get through it together," Doubrley added.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
