TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — More than a hundred Venezuelans from across Florida, including several dozen from the Bay Area, traveled to the state capitol Wednesday to proclaim April 24 as Venezuelan Day.

This effort started in the Orlando chapter of Casa Venezuela, a political organization that's been very outspoken against the Maduro regime.

Casa Venezuela Tampa Bay is part of the group in Tallahassee today, along with the Infante/Paredes family.  The group plans to meet with several legislators today with the hopes of making them more aware of the Venezuelan crisis and the ongoing TPS issue.

Spectrum Bay News 9's Adria Iraheta traveled with the group from Tampa and will have more on their efforts today.
