TAMPA, Fla. — The day has arrived for Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans, and the team has picked their first-round draft pick. 

The Bucs had the 5th overall pick in tonight's NFL draft and chose LSU linebacker Devin White.

There was chatter the team could trade back, but the Bucs ultimately picked a premiere player like White.

Kentucky linebacker Josh Allen's and Alabama defensive lineman Quinnen Williams' names were floated around before the Bucs announced their pick.

The team can definitely use a defensive upgrade: The Bucs were dead last in total defense in 2017 and were not much better in 2018 when the team was 27th in total defense.  

"I think it is probably going to come down to one of three names: if Quinnen Williams, the defensive tackle from Alabama, is on the board, I think he is there guy," said Trevor Sikkema with the Draft Network. "Then it kind of comes down to LSU linebacker Devin White or Kentucky edge rusher Josh Allen.

JC Carroll with the Draft Network added: "You look at the new defensive coordinator, Todd Bowles, and Devin White thrives at blitzing and Todd Bowles loves his inside linebackers to be blitzing the quarterback." 

Meanwhile, back at Raymond James Stadium, the team will host a draft party for fans. 

The Official Draft Party is open to the public and admission is free. 

The stadium parking lot opens at 5 p.m. with $5 for parking. 

Fans can park in lots 1 and 3 to the north, and lots 5 and 7. Doors will open to the general public at 6:30 p.m. Season pass and Stadium Club members can enjoy free parking and early entry starting at 6 p.m.

The draft begins at 8 p.m. and Fans can watch the entire first round. 

The free draft party also will include:
