TAMPA, Fla. — A portion of Gandy Boulevard will be closed this weekend as crews with FDOT and CSX replace the railroad crossing in front of the I-Heart Radio building. 

Gandy Blvd. will be closed between Dale Mabry Highway and Lois Avenue starting at 9 p.m. on Friday.  Portions of both sides of the road with be closed throughout the weekend. 

Drivers will be detoured around the work zone using S. Dale Mabry, Interbay, and Westshore Blvd. 

The entrance ramp on northbound Dale Mabry Highway will remain open to access the Selmon Expressway. 

The road is expected to reopen by 6 a.m. on Monday, May 20. 

Gandy Blvd. is expecting another closure next week starting Wednesday, May 22.  

The road will be shut down in both directions between Dale Mabry Highway and Church Street for overhead bridge work.  The shutdown will occur on Wednesday and Thursday between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. 

Drivers will need to detour at Dale Mabry Hwy, Interbay, or Westshore Blvd.
