TAMPA, Fla. — Senator Rick Scott held a roundtable discussion in Tampa Monday morning to discuss his plans to make healthcare more affordable for families.

The roundtable discussion involved healthcare leaders and patients in the area.

Scott introduced the Transparent Drug Pricing Act to address the soaring costs of prescription drugs and the Protecting Patients from Surprise Medical Bills Act to end the practice of surprise medical billing.

While there, we also got a chance to speak to Scott about the Florida counties hacked in the 2016 election.  He said he doesn't know why they FBI didn't inform him that two counties had been hacked by Russians.

Scott said he wants the FBI to declassify the information.

"They said they're not going to release the names of the counties. I asked them to do that, they said they won't release the names because of national security issues. I think it's important we remain diligent. We want people to vote, but we don't want there to be any fraud and we clearly don't want an outside party trying to impact our election," Scott said.

Governor Ron DeSantis and the Florida Congressional Delegation know which two Florida counties were hacked but they can't reveal that.

It was leaked last week that Washington County in the Panhandle was one of them.
