HOMOSASSA, Fla. — A 27-year-old man from Spring Hill was killed Wednesday morning in a motorcycle crash in Citrus County.
- Travis Applegate's motorcycle went off the road and crashed
- FHP: Applegate died at the scene
- Crash remains under investigation
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Travis Joseph Applegate was driving southbound on US 19 near Atlas Drive at 6:16 a.m. when he lost control of his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Troopers said Applegate went off the roadway, onto the west shoulder and collided with a street sign.
Applegate died at the scene, officials said.
The crash remains under investigation.
