POLK COUNTY, Fla. — A motorcycle thief suspect accidentally pocket-dialed 911, leading police to his location.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says they had been looking for Justin Ball because he was wanted for grand theft auto, and deputies got some extra help when Ball accidentally pocket-dialed 911.

The dispatcher picked up and asked for the address of the emergency, but Ball never answered, so deputies responded to the location to make sure everything was OK.

Deputies then realized who the caller was.

The Sheriff’s Office says the deputy who showed up at the scene happened to have a warrant for Ball on hand because she had been looking everywhere for him.
