ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Increasing moisture will lead to a higher coverage of showers and thunderstorms the next few days.

After some heavy evening thunderstorms, it will be partly cloudy tonight. Low temperatures will be in the mid to upper 70s.

This weekend will be partly cloudy with numerous showers and thunderstorms.

The rain chance is 70 percent on Saturday and 50 percent on Sunday. The mornings will be dry. Thunderstorms will develop in the afternoons.

Storms will move into the Gulf of Mexico and end in the evenings.

With more clouds and higher rain chances, the high temperatures will come back down to the upper 80s to low 90s this weekend.

Next week will be partly sunny with scattered showers and thunderstorms each day, mainly in the afternoon to evening.

The rain chance is 30 percent to 40 percent each day.

It will get hotter, with highs in the low 90s then the mid 90s by the middle of the week.
