ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Skies will be mostly cloudy with some scattered showers overnight into early Wednesday morning.

The low pressure in such close proximity to us in the Gulf of Mexico will continue spreading a lot of moisture into our atmosphere. As a result, there will again likely be some scattered showers and storms drifting in from the gulf for the early morning hours.
Lows will be in the low to mid 70s inland and upper 70s at the coast.
Wednesday will again feature a lot of atmospheric moisture, leading to numerous scattered showers and storms. The coverage will be at about 70 percent by the end of the day.
Highs will be in the upper 80s with mostly cloudy to partly sunny skies, otherwise.
The scattered storms will die down Wednesday evening, with lows in the 70s.

Thursday will be partly sunny with a 60 percent coverage of scattered storms.
Winds will be a little breezier the next couple of days due to that low pressure in the Gulf of Mexico, but it will stay far enough away to not give us strong winds.
The main difference will be a noticeable breeze on the gulf waters and a higher surf.
That low pressure will likely become Tropical Storm Barry later this week. However, since it will be drifting west away from us it will not have a significant impact to our forecast.
We will continue to see scattered storms each day, but the coverage will tend to decrease into the weekend. The amount of time we have the rain and clouds in the area will also decrease.
The main thing you will notice is that we get back to a more typical summer pattern this weekend into next week, where you can expect mainly afternoon to evening scattered storms with sunshine during the first half of the day and hotter temperatures back into the low 90s.
