TAMPA, Fla. — Governor Ron DeSantis visited Tampa General Hospital on Tuesday for the unveiling of a new mission control-like command center.

  • New care center at TGH
  • Aims to improve patient care
  • Also to cut down on wait times

The CareComm center aims to improve patient care and hospitality efficiency.

The center will use artificial intelligence and predictive analytics to improve and better coordinate patient care at a lower cost.

It's also touted to cut down on patient wait time by hours and even days.

Tampa General is now the fourth hospital in the world, and the first in Florida, to open this high tech command center.  They have partnered with GE Healthcare to get this new initiative up and running.

Cait McVey will have a sneak peek inside the new center later today on Spectrum Bay News 9.
