BRADENTON, Fla. — A free clinic that offers medical, dental, and vision care will be returning to Bradenton the weekend of October 12-13.

For the fifth time, Remote Area Medical will be taking over Manatee Technical College's campus on State Road 70.

Services available at the clinic include dental cleanings, fillings, tooth extractions, dental x-rays, eye exams, eyeglass prescriptions, and general medical exams. Eyeglasses are also made on site for patients to take home the same day.

All services are free and no ID or proof of health insurance is required.

The clinic's parking lot at 6305 State Road 70 E in Bradenton will open at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, October 12. Tickets will be distributed starting at 3 a.m. Patients will be seen in the order of their ticket numbers when the doors open at 6 a.m. The same process will take place on Sunday, October 13.

While the clinic has the amount of medical staff need, they are in desperate need of dental and eye care professionals to volunteer.

With one month left until the clinic, less than 10 eye care professionals have signed up to assist. One of them is Dr. Dean Consiglio.

"We kind of get stuck in the groundhog day of doing the same thing every day," Consiglio said. "Something like this can be really rewarding."

The number of people the clinic can serve is determined by the number of healthcare professionals that volunteer.

Dentists, oral surgeons, opticians and optometrists who are willing to volunteer are asked to contact Lori Dengler at lorijd4@gmail.com

Florida law states only professionals licensed in Florida may volunteer.
