BRADENTON, Fla. — It's registration time for the 3rd Annual Skyway 10k.

Race organizers are highlighted a new process for those interested in registering for the 2020 road race. The race is scheduled for March 1, 2020.
This year, spots for 7,500 runners will be given out through a lottery system to make sure everyone has a fair shot at running the race.
Winners will be selected at random beginning on Monday, Oct. 21 and will be sent an email to register for the race, which will then allow them to pay the $80 registration fee.
Applying for the lottery portion of the registration is free and will remain open until 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 20. Those entering the lottery will not be required to input payment information until later in the process when winners are selected.
Through the new lottery system, all individuals and groups will have an equal chance of being selected to participate regardless of the date and time they register during the designated period.
Once winners have received their registration invitations via email, they will have until Oct. 27 at 11:59 p.m. to accept the invitation and complete the race registration.
