Orlando Police spokesperson Lt. Wanda Miglio in a press conference said the shooting happened at the Target parking lot on Sand Lake Road.

Around 7:15 p.m., Miglio said Metropolitan Bureau of Investigations units were conducting a drug operation when an undercover Orlando Police officer, who is also an MBI agent, discharged his firearm, striking suspect John Michael Noack, 41, of Davenport.

Noack was taken into custody and was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he is now in stable condition. The officer involved, who is a 14-year veteran with OPD, sustained a minor injury to his eye.

Another suspect, Antonio Pedro Laureano-Quesada, 33, was stopped by MBI agents while he was in his vehicle and was taken into custody, according to OPD. He was not injured. Miglio said there are warrants for trafficking cocaine issued for Laureano-Quesada.

The MBI and Florida Department of Law Enforcement were at the scene.

FDLE will investigate the shooting and turn over their findings to the State Attorney's Office. OPD will then proceed with an internal investigation, according to Miglio.
