ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — St. Petersburg Police are working to figure out who keeps vandalizing parking meters along Central Avenue and needs the community's help.
The suspect or suspects are spraying the meters with a foam sealant, causing thousands of dollars in damage.
The first incident occurred last Sunday in the 600 block of Central Ave. Police said 27 meters were damaged.
The 2nd incident occurred on Friday in the 400 block of Central Ave. Twenty six more meters were damaged.
Police said several of the machines were damaged beyond repair, and many require extensive maintenance to clean and fix.
