ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — For the third time in recent days, parking meters have been damaged in downtown St. Petersburg.

The latest case happened early Wednesday.

Twenty-one meters along the 100 block of Beach Drive NE and Bayshore Drive were vandalized.

Spray foam sealant was used to damage the meters. That is similar to the two previous incidents, according to police.

City employees are taking the meters apart and cleaning them.

Anyone with information is asked to call the St. Petersburg Police Department.
