ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — It was a beautiful Thanksgiving Day for our area!

We had plenty of sunshine during the afternoon with temperatures reaching the low 80s in many communities.

After we overcome the food coma from all the turkey and desserts, we’re sure some will have just enough energy to brave the crowds at the stores tonight. If you are one of them, it will be a nice one, weather-wise.

Expect clear skies to continue into the morning with temperatures falling back into the 50s. Some communities along the Nature Coast may dip into the upper 40s by sunrise Friday.

Friday afternoon will feature lots of sunshine with temperatures in the upper 70s. This trend will continue into the weekend.

High temperatures will be in the mid to upper 70s both Saturday and Sunday. Some communities will likely hit 80 degrees Sunday afternoon before a cold front arrives.

Clouds will increase late Sunday ahead of a front and eventually some rain will push through during the overnight hours Sunday night.

By Monday morning, the cold front will be to our south. It will turn breezy as the front comes through. Breezy conditions will continue into Monday.

Temperatures will fall by Monday. Expect an early high temperature near 70 Monday morning before temperatures fall into the mid 60s by late afternoon.

Tuesday is what we call "sweater weather" around here. Highs will be in the 50s and 60s across our area.
