Jenks, 48, was found dead Tuesday in a parking lot of the Northgate Center shopping plaza at 1144 94th Ave North. Officials said officers found the man with evidence of trauma to his body.

Detectives said Jenks was at "The Sports Bar," located in the same shopping plaza, prior to his death.

Police spent more than 12 hours at the scene Tuesday. Detectives said King beat Jenks to death then left his body in the parking lot.

Authorities are saying why King killed Jenks or what caused an altercation.

An investigation is ongoing.

Jenks sister started a GoFundMe account to help pay for the funeral.  On the page she wrote that Jenks has a little boy who is now left without a father and the family needs help paying for his burial.
