Motorworks Brewing in Bradenton collaborated with Manatee County Animal Services to showcase dogs currently in the shelter on their beer cans.

Organizers say it has been a huge hit. During the first day of the promotion's launch, two dogs were adopted.

“We are so excited with the possibilities of continuing this,” says Hans Wohlgefahrt, Manatee County Animal Services spokesperson.

So far, hundreds of cans have been sold and all the proceeds will go straight to the animal shelter.

“We just want to continue to raise awareness as well as the funds to find these dogs some good homes,” says Barry Elwonger of Motorworks Brewing.

Elwonger says he expects to have another launch with new dogs in the future.
