VALRICO, Fla. — The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investing an early-morning Valrico crash that injured six people, including two deputies.

The crash happened just before 2 a.m.

According to the sheriff's office, two DUI investigators were parked in the median on Highway 60 near Church Street when a vehicle, driven by 25-year-old Aaron Major, jumped the median and collided head-on with one of the unmarked sheriff’s cruisers.

Officials said Major told them he fell asleep at the wheel but deputies suspect alcohol was involved.

Both deputies, Major, and three other passengers were transported to area hospitals.

Everyone is expected to recover.

No word yet on any charges.
