CLEARWATER, Fla. — A Pinellas County man is facing charges after authorities said he drove drunk along a busy pedestrian path alongside Memorial Causeway on Saturday.

According to Clearwater Police, 28-year-old Tyler Keenan narrowly missed several pedestrians and bicyclists while driving a Kia SUV on a recreational path around 3 p.m. 

Police said Keenan ran from his car after it was stopped. He was caught by officers minutes later in the city marina. 

Keenan, of Tarpon Springs, was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, leaving the scene of a crash with property damage and resisting an officer without violence. 

There were no injuries. 

Keenan bonded out of jail late Saturday.
