WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. — The identity of the pilot killed in this week's plane crash in a Wesley Chapel neighborhood has been released. 

According to the Pinellas-Pasco Medical Examiner’s Office, the pilot killed was 61-year-old Thomas Saxon of Madeira Beach.

Federal Aviation Administration is still investigating Tuesday's crash.

According to Pasco County Fire Rescue, the single-engine Beechcraft plane crashed at 11:30 a.m. into a residential neighborhood in the area of Grand Oaks Boulevard and Wesley Chapel Boulevard. 

The pilot died at the scene. He was identified as 61-year-old Thomas Saxon, according to our news partner the Tampa Bay Times.

There were no other injuries.

The wreckage remained at the crash site Wednesday morning.
