It may have been a small crowd gathered outside of the Hillsborough government building, but their message was loud and clear.

They are tired of unarmed black men being killed by police. George Floyd was just the latest victim.

"He said he can’t breathe," said protester Michael Burnett. "He can’t breathe and you’re going to stay there? It’s just senseless."

For protester Olivia Murray, it’s personal. She has seen these types of killings all her life.

"I was 14 when Eric Garner was suffocated to death by a police officer and six years later here in 2020, we see the same thing happening to George Floyd," Murray explained.

The crowd consisted of people from all different racial backgrounds, united in the same belief that George Floyd was murdered. State Attorney Andrew Warren did not march with the crowd but spoke to some of the protesters and the organizer.

"We support their protests," Warren said. "We condemn the murder of George Floyd. I just wanted to come out and talk to the protesters and make sure they understand that working in law enforcement, we’re with them still."
