TAMPA, Fla. — Hillsborough County opens its ninth COVID-19 testing site on Thursday at the University of South Florida’s main campus in Tampa.

The site is operated by volunteers from USF Health and Student Health services.

It will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. - noon.

What You Need To Know

County officials said they chose USF’s campus for the site to make it easier for students and faculty to get tested as they prepare to head back to class on August 24.

Testing is free and health insurance isn’t required, but you do need to register and make an appointment to be tested.

The USF site is a drive-thru, but can also accommodate people on foot or bicycle.
