Pence's latest Sunshine State visit was for a "Make America Great Again" rally attended by Republican supporters, some of whom waited for hours to be the first in.

The Vice President spoke at Lakeland International Airport just days before Election Day, which is November 3.

Pence talked about 500,000 manufacturing jobs created in the last three years, including 28,000 in Florida.

Of Trump's opponent, Joe Biden, Pence said America "saw years of scandal" during Biden's time as Vice President under Barack Obama.

As supporters cheered, Pence said, "We're going to give the American people the kind of health care built on freedom ... and make sure America is never a socialist country."

Pence was also scheduled to appear in Tallahassee Saturday evening.

President Trump made a campaign stop Friday in The Villages.

The visit marked Trump’s third appearance to the region in less than two weeks, following rallies in Sanford and Ocala. These visits come as the battle for Florida’s coveted 29 electoral votes tightens into what some polls and observers declare a tossup — with 11 days until the November 3 election.

The Trump and Biden camps have been especially hot for the I-4 corridor — a battleground region of a major battleground state. Biden’s running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris, visited Orlando this week, and reports say President Barack Obama will appear in the area next week on behalf of Biden, who served as Obama’s vice president.
