Saturday is the last day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but one Dunedin tattoo artist celebrates survivors every day of her career.

What You Need To Know

Lita Edwards-Benduhn, owner of Metamorphosis Ink, has been a tattoo artist for 12 years but has specialized in artwork to cover scars for the last eight.

She works a lot with breast cancer patients to help them hide their scars and feel beautiful, despite what their bodies are going through.

“It becomes a big emotional pull. I absolutely love it. I think it’s a very rare blessing to have the ability to really make that kind of impact on people’s life and I hope I never take that for granted,” said Edwards-Benduhn.

She is now also working with anyone whose body has been altered due to surgeries, accidents, or other incidents.
